Jakarta (ANTARA) – Solo Deputy Mayor Astrid Widayani is in the public spotlight due to her new position as chairperson of the Solo Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) DPD for 2025-2030 on Sunday (10/12).
Astrid replaces Tri Mardiyanto, who currently holds the position of Treasurer of the DPD PSI Solo. Meanwhile, in September, Astrid was appointed president of the PSI DPP party for the period 2025-2030.
With the position she holds, Astrid should be able to strengthen electoral support for the PSI in one of the areas often nicknamed “The Bull’s Cage”, due to the strong electoral support for PDI Perjuangan.

Astrid Widayani was born in Surakarta on November 9, 1986. She then married Poernomo Warasto in 2007 and has two children.
Not only is she intelligent, but she is known for participating in numerous beauty pageants, including being Denok Semarang and Central Java Tourism Ambassador, as well as Princess Citra Central Java in 2006.
Astrid has extensive experience in the education management sector. He has taught as a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Surakarta (Unsa), president of the Widya Nusantara Education Foundation, president of the Surakarta University Foundation, CEO of Direct English Solo and CEO of PT Pilar Bumi Bengawan.
Two years ago he was entrusted with the position of Rector of the University of Surakarta for the period 2023-2027. This position established her as the first female chancellor on campus. Astrid is still quite young as a chancellor at the age of 36, which is why she is often called “Chancellor Mbak”.
Astrid previously earned a bachelor’s degree (S1) in two campuses at the same time, namely a bachelor’s degree in Economics (SE) from the University of Surakarta in 2007 and a bachelor’s degree in Literature (SS) from Diponegoro University in 2009.
He then continued his master’s studies at Gadjah Mada University (UGM), managing to obtain a Master’s degree in Strategic Management. He also holds a doctorate in business transformation, sustainable business and entrepreneurship from the Business School of Lausanne, Switzerland.

When she was young, Astrid was also active in several organizations such as Literary Music Forum (Diponegoro University), Central Java Tourism Ambassador Association, Denok Kenang Semarang Community, Solo Mengajar Inspirasi Class and others.
It is also active in implementing corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs called Youth Empowerment Program. Apart from this, it has initiated a special program to strengthen the soft skills and practical skills of youth under the Youth Reinforcement Program (YRP).
Astrid is also active in the field of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as the founder of Jawara UMKM, which focuses on empowering and developing MSMEs in Solo City, which includes business incubation training and product marketing assistance.
Meanwhile, in the 2024 regional elections, Astrid was paired with Respati Achmad Ardianto as Solo’s mayoral candidate. The pair were supported by a combination of political parties including Gerindra, PKS, PSI, Golkar, PKB and PAN.
