Jakarta (ANTARA) – The winner of the 2025 Ballon d’Or was officially announced on Tuesday (23/9), early morning, Indonesia time. This annual event is always the most awaited stage for footballers from all over the world and their fans.
Since 1956, the Ballon d’Or has been the most prestigious symbol of recognition for a player’s achievements and contributions over an entire season. This year, the Ballon d’Or awards night was a great stage for Ousmane Dembele.
The winger for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and the French national team has been officially crowned the winner of the men’s Ballon d’Or. Dembele managed to win the award after beating his rivals, namely Lamine Yamal (Barcelona) who was in second place, and Vitinha (PSG) who was in third place.
Dembele’s success also strengthens PSG’s dominance in the European football arena. The French club also won numerous other awards at this prestigious event which was held at the Theater du Chatelet in Paris.

Not only the men’s category, the women’s Ballon d’Or also attracted the attention of the fans. Aitana Bonmatí, midfielder of Barcelona and the Spanish national team, successfully defended the title for the third time in a row, namely in 2023 and 2024.
This result led her to go down in history as one of the most consistent players of the last decade. This year Bonmati managed to overtake her rivals, namely Mariona Caldentey (Arsenal) in second place and Alessia Russo (Arsenal) in third place.
In addition to this, some young names, the best goalkeepers, coaches and the best clubs in various secondary categories were also declared winners for the 2025 Ballon d’Or.
