Jakarta (ANTARA) – A total of 18 teams played matches in the fifth week of the 2025/2026 BRI Super League, which took place from Thursday (11/9) to Sunday (14/9). Numerous changes have occurred in the rankings, including a move to the top position.
Persija Jakarta, who were previously firmly in first place, had to be willing to drop to second place after Borneo FC managed to move them. Borneo FC looked consistent with a 3-1 win over PSIM Yogyakarta in Sunday’s match (14/9), thus extending their perfect record to five consecutive victories. The three additional points mean Borneo have now picked up 12 points.
On the other hand, Persija failed to maintain the top position after being held to a 1-1 draw by Bali United in the match on the same day. These results meant that Kemayoran Tigers collected just 11 points, one point below Borneo FC.
Meanwhile, Persib Bandung, who had slumped over the past two weeks, finally bounced back to win a 1-0 victory over Persebaya Surabaya at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA) Stadium. The win moved Maung Bandung from 10th to 6th place in the standings with 7 points.
On the other hand, the defeat against Persib forced Persebaya Surabaya to drop to eighth place after previously occupying sixth position.
