Senator Romario, a member of former President Jair Bolsonaro’s political party PL, presented Minister Flavio Dino (STF) with a shirt of Rio de Janeiro’s traditional team, the American Football Club.
Mr. Dino was nominated by President Lula to the Supreme Court, and this Friday (11/14), following the vote of Mr. Alexandre de Moraes, he decided to make Mr. Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL) a defendant of coercion during the procedure.

“With great joy I accepted the United States (RJ) jersey presented to me by Senator Romario, star of the 1994 World Cup title (and many others). A fond memory of Brazilian soccer, one of my passions,” Dino wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
The gesture came after Romario was criticized among Bolsonaro supporters for not signing Minister Moraes’ request to initiate impeachment.
At the time, the former player said that “they made up a false story” against him, but asserted that “nothing will change because of the lies that have been spread.”
I have faced more pressure in my life, but I have never run away or remained silent,” Romario wrote on his account on X on August 8, 2025.
