The Second Disciplinary Committee of the High Court of Justice for Sport has postponed the trial of Palmeiras striker Vitor Roque to Wednesday the 19th, after the FIFA date.
The hearing was originally scheduled for Monday the 17th. But it was moved. The player was reported for discrimination after making homophobic posts related to the victory over Sao Paulo.
If a penalty is imposed, the expected penalty is 5-10 games. If he takes a hit, Roque could miss the team for the same day’s game against Vitoria, which was rescheduled by the CBF for the Brazilian Championship.
The appointment was made after Flamengo received a complaint from Palmeiras president Leila Pereira regarding delays in Bruno Henrique’s trial.
Behind the scenes, the Rio club recalled that the São Paulo leaders’ demands for greater balance in the STJD ignored the fact that Vitor Roque had been charged a month earlier and had not yet been tried.
Vitor Roque posted a photo of a tiger with a deer head in its mouth on Instagram, but deleted the image minutes later. Palmeiras attracted the attention of athletes, but it was not enough.
