The lawsuit was brought by the Albiverde manager following a post by an attacker refuting a statement by his agent that the player left Verdane through the back door after comparing him to former São Paulo player Ronny, with whom he also negotiated a contract.
“Ron was leaving out the front door. Dudu was leaving out the back door,” the agent said at the time.

The dismissal decision was handed down by Judge Luis Augusto Barreto Fonseca, who interpreted the situation as a mutual provocation and without the level of aggression necessary for criminal intervention.
“Criminal acts uttered during counterarguments and heated debates are trivialized in digital and sports environments, and do not display the level of aggression necessary for criminal intervention.”

It also justified the refusal of a request to include the Brazilian Women’s Union in the criminal complaint.
“The statements contained in the first statement do not contain any indication of contempt or discrimination against the woman’s condition that would justify the intervention of a third party at this procedural stage.”

- Striker Dudu, who was with Cruzeiro at the time, reacted on social media after Palmeiras president Leila Pereira criticized him for saying the player had left the São Paulo team through the “back door”. The player refuted Palmeiras’ coach’s comments in an Instagram post and used the opportunity to insult Verdun president.
- “The truck was heavy so I was asked to come out the back door!!! (sic),” the perpetrator wrote on his Instagram Story, using a photo of himself next to the trophy won by Palmeiras.
- “My story is grand and sincere and different from that of Mrs. Leila Pereira,” Dudu stressed, marking the profile of President Palmeiras in his post. “Forget me. VTNC,” the player concluded.
- Dudu’s offensive post refers to comments made over the weekend by Leila Pereira in an interview during an event announcing Palmeiras’ new master sponsor.
- At the time, the club president denied comparing the situations of Ronnie and Dudu when asked if the incidents were similar.
- “The situation is completely different,” Leila Pereira said. “We have had a clear discussion with Ronnie, but if he wants to stay at Palmeiras, he is a club athlete,” the president said.
- Then she poked Dudu. “Ron will come out the front door. Dudu will come out the back door,” he said.
- “When I said in the middle of the year that he was nearing the end of his cycle, I was right. And millions of dollars were lost because Palmeiras waited until the end of the year for the player to leave without getting anything at all,” he added.
