Jakarta (ANTARA) – On the occasion of the commemoration of Heroes’ Day on November 10, the Indonesian people are once again invited to emulate the spirit of the warriors who sacrificed their lives and bodies for the sake of independence.
In 2025, the commemoration of Heroes’ Day carries the theme “My heroes, my example: keep moving, continuing the fight”, a strong message that heroic values must not stop on the pages of history. But it must continue to live on in the concrete actions of today’s generation.
National heroes have left eternal messages of struggle about courage in the face of oppression, steadfastness in maintaining unity and sincerity in fighting for the progress of the nation.
These messages represent a precious legacy for all Indonesian people to maintain sovereignty, strengthen unity and contribute to the country’s development towards a golden Indonesia.
The following is a message from national heroes, based on information gathered from official guidelines issued by the Ministry of Social Affairs in commemoration of Heroes’ Day 2025.

In the official guidelines, the composition of the Heroes’ Day commemoration ceremony not only includes a procession of silence, but also includes the reading of struggle messages by national heroes.

14. Kasman Singodimedjo: “Independence must be maintained with honesty, not just with enthusiasm.”
15. Admiral Malahayati: “The sea is not an obstacle, but a path to honor.”
16. HOS Tjokroaminoto: “A true leader not only commands, but leads.”
17. Ki Bagus Hadikusumo: “Independence is a trust from God that must be guarded with faith and knowledge.”
18. Abdul Muis: “Resistance that does not arise from an independent mind is only an explosion of emotions, not a struggle.”
19. Queen Kalinyamat: “I am willing to die for the honor of myself and my country, because honor cannot be bought.”
