Can an error result in a grade being deducted from my essay?
Daniela Toffoli, a writing teacher at the Anglo course, says that, as a general rule, changing the name of a film will not result in a grade being deducted from the essay.
“The Enem material itself says that if, due to some mistake, a student ends up changing the author’s name, for example, the author name of the theory or bibliography he added will not be discounted. In theory, the same applies to movie names, song names and book names,” he explains.
The teacher remembers that there were some 1000-level essays with different authors’ names. “What really matters is whether the student was able to make the right connection to the content. So in this case, whether he was able to bring up the content of this movie that he’s referring to correctly and express it correctly to fit the theme and argument.”
“So, in theory, just changing the name of the movie will not result in a discount. The discount will occur if the content is not correctly represented, for example, in line with the themes and arguments that this girl is referring to,” Daniela added.
