The 80-year-old man who allegedly ended the life of actress and singer Encarnita Polo on Friday, strangling her in the Avila mansion where they lived, according to evidence, was detained by police in the hospital’s psychiatric center, officials from the government delegation confirmed.
The same source said the man had not shown any signs of aggression so far at the seniors’ home, but that once his condition cleared he would remain in police custody until he could stand trial.
Meanwhile, sources close to the family report that Encarnita Polo will be buried in Avila after an event will be held at the wake where her body was discovered.
National police have launched an investigation to unravel the death of the actress and singer. It was the police themselves who reported that this Friday, a fatal accident occurred at the Decanos residence in Avila, which is being investigated by the Judicial Police State Brigade.
Investigators said the person who died was Encarnita Polo, and that another resident attacked her and strangled her to death.
