The XR Motos team won the Electric Motos Endurance Challenge with their 2016 Zero Motorcycles FXS handlebars, beating benchmark brands in the field such as Stark and other manufacturers.
Electric motorcycle endurance race held at the circuit … Mir Racing from Villena (Alicante) was characterized by strategy and energy management. The XR Motos team, formed by Pablo Esparza and Xavier Chibite, managed to complete the race with just two battery changes, finishing with 24% charge remaining on the third and final run. Efficiency and control were the keys to victory.
Conversely, the Stark team, which had an early lead, had to make its first battery change seven minutes into the race, jeopardizing their chances of completing the test with only two energy relays. The XR Motos team’s one-hour relay and power management allowed them to take the win without any pressure in the final stages.
“The experience and reliability of the Zero FXS, together with a very finely tuned team strategy, were decisive. This 2016 bike showed that it is still at an exceptional level,” declared Pablo Esparza at the end of the test.
Xavier Chivite emphasized collaboration and precision in planning. “We knew the important thing was not just to go fast, but to manage each kilowatt wisely. We measured each relay, each battery change down to the second.”
The team wanted to dedicate this victory to the memory of teammate Jose Antonio Camacho, who was recently killed in a motorcycle accident, but whose spirit and passion for competition were present throughout the race.
