Check out the teams that will advance to the Kandangan U-17 semi-finals
Capital 3 x 2 Canaan
But on Friday night (11/14), Coluja was thrilled to advance to the finals. Canaan needed to win by at least two goals to take the relegation battle to penalties, but goals from Nicolas and Julio Gomez gave the hosts the advantage just seven minutes into the game.
The visiting team kept up the pressure, but they were awarded a penalty almost at the end of first-half stoppage time, and Capital’s goal through Matheus Machado changed the team’s fortunes. In the second half, the team not only secured their place but also turned the game around with goals from Balotelli and Pedro Filipe.
Real Brasilia 2 (1) × 0 (4) Penhalor
Real Brasilia needed to reverse the two-goal advantage they conceded away from home, and they did so after a solid performance at home. The goals were scored by Joao Gabriel and Victor Moreira after a mistake by goalkeeper Falcao.
But the goalkeeper’s salvation would come after normal time. The match went into a penalty shootout, and Penhalor took the penalty perfectly. Falcao also saved two penalties, ensuring his team’s place in the final.
