Chief of Staff Manuel Adorni denied that the labor reform would amend the public employment law, in response to comments made by ATE Secretary Rodolfo Aguiar in a press conference at Casa Rosada this Friday.
“Remarks from a noisy union member who went on strike without reading the labor modernization policy”not yet presented. “We are not considering amending the public employment law, and calling for a strike when the law is not amended will draw even more attention,” Adorni said.
Mr. Adorni then recalled that Mr. Aguiar said he was working to cause a “crisis” in President Javier Millei’s government. “In fact, you remember him too, because he recently said that his job is to create a crisis in the government. Good luck,” he said, attacking Mr. Adorni during a meeting at the Government House, where the Agencia Noticia Argentina is accredited.
“If there is any government working to reverse the deplorable state of Argentina’s public sector, it is the government of President Javier Millei. Of course, we would like to make it clear that any statements about measures that are not published, unknown or not communicated to us through official channels are false a priori,” he added.
He also took a cold stance on labor and tax debates, focusing on the monotax. “There’s been a lot of talk about specific issues, including the monotax. Please, until there’s official word on what labor modernization is, please don’t say otherwise.”
