Around 152,400 workers with formal contracts of at least 30 days at salaries up to twice the minimum wage will receive the extra money in 2023. This Saturday (11/15), the Federal Government will release an additional batch of R$156.4 million from salary bonuses from the Program of Social Integration (PIS) and the Civil Service Asset Creation Program (Pacep).
This funding will benefit both workers who have not yet received benefits and those who have requested a review of their salary bonuses through administrative appeals. For those who appealed, payments will continue to be made every 15 days until the end of the year, or the first business day thereafter, according to the Department of Labor and Employment.
Workers can check the release of salary bonuses on the digital work card application. Consultations can also be done on the gov.br portal.
Benefits range from R$126.50 to R$1,518.00, depending on the number of months worked in 2023, which is the base year for benefit calculation. Resources can be withdrawn until December 29th.
Who has the right:
- Be registered with PIS/Pasep or CNIS for at least 5 years.
- Worked on a formal contract for at least 30 days in 2023.
- Received average remuneration of up to twice the minimum wage during the period.
- The data was correctly communicated to you by your employer in Rais or eSocial.
- The additional batch will only include workers who meet the general criteria but whose information has been corrected and resubmitted by June of this year.
The following people are not eligible to receive salary bonuses:
- Domestic employees.
- Rural and urban workers employed by individuals.
- Employees of natural persons equivalent to legal persons.
- How to check if you can receive it:
- Digital Work Card application: Simply access using your CPF and gov.br password, go to the Benefits tab and select Payroll Benefits.
- Alô Trabalho center (158): Free service.
- Caixa Trabalhador and Caixa Tem applications for private sector workers.
Payment method
For those receiving PIS (Private Sector Workers):
- Automatic credit will be applied to those who have an account with Caixa Econômica Federation.
- Digital social savings accessible by Caixa Tem.
- Withdraw using your citizen card at terminals, lottery offices and Caixa Aki correspondent.
- Bring your ID and withdraw directly at the Caixa branch.
- Persons receiving pasep (civil servants and state employees):
- Deposit money into your Banco Brasil (BB) checking account.
- Forward to other institutions via TED or PIX.
- Withdraw directly at BB branch.
Deadlines and resources
Withdrawals are possible until December 29th. Anyone who believes they are entitled to a salary bonus but was not included in the batch can register a dispute directly on the digital work card application.
