Madrid November 15 (Europe Press) –
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a telephone conversation this Saturday to discuss the political situation in Gaza, Iran, Syria and other regions.
“The two leaders exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East, including events in the Gaza Strip, in light of the ceasefire and the prisoner exchange agreement,” the Russian presidential palace said in an official statement.
The two leaders also discussed “the situation surrounding Iran’s nuclear program and issues related to promoting stability in Syria,” the Kremlin said.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office confirmed the meeting, stressing that it was “at the initiative of President Putin” and a continuation of “a recent series of precedent-setting talks” to “address regional issues.”
