Coritiba welcomes Athletic to Couto Pereira this Saturday (11/15) in a match that could seal the Series B title. However, the match ended 0-0 and was a valid match until the 37th round. A win would guarantee Coritiba the trophy one round earlier. Nevertheless, this draw guaranteed them a spot in Series A.

The duel was very balanced. The first good chance of the match came in the 37th minute of the first half, when De La Torre took advantage of an opening in the attack and hit the post.

In the second half, Athletic almost took the lead with a goal from Marcelo Azur. The player received a cross from Gasolina and rose well to head home, putting Albi Verde in danger of scoring.

In the 31st minute of the second half, Everardo crossed into the area and Delatorre again deflected the dangerous ball.

Coritiba’s last chance to win the trophy before the first round came in stoppage time. Lucas Loinier pounced on the rebound, but the goalkeeper of the Minas Gerais team made a good save to keep the score tied.

The away draw took Athletic out of the relegation zone. In the final round, the team from the inland state of Minas Gerais will face Paysandu, who are in last place and have already been relegated. Coritiba, on the other hand, missed out on the chance to lift the tournament trophy at Couto Pereira, but will aim for the championship in the final match against Amazonas, who have already been relegated.
