For the first time, the Bairik community, located at the foot of the Amazon River in Amapá, National high school entrance exam (enemy). Previously, students had to travel to Macapá, the capital of Amapá, to take the test. However, this week and next Sunday, candidates will be taking the exam closer to home.
“There were many people in the archipelago who worked hard to make this dream come true. In Byreek, we have Enem, so let’s celebrate,” the teacher said in a video published on Instagram.
Overall, 170 students take exams that guarantee admission to Brazilian universities. Applications will be made at Villa Progresso, which will begin accepting students from nearby communities from Saturday the 8th. A special committee was mobilized to deliver mattresses and supplies to prospective high school students.
“You don’t know how difficult it is for young people to take the exams in previous years, spending 12, 14, 15 hours when the rivers are dry. This year is different. 170 young people, residents of the archipelago, will take the exams near their homes,” stressed Senator Randolph Rodríguez (PT) on his social networks.
