Actor Anderson Muller celebrated his 56th birthday this Sunday (September 11), and he used the day to open up to his followers. He thanked fans for their response to the homophobic attacks he received from fans after revealing details of his 21-year marriage to doctor Paulinho.
“Everything is fine with me. The answer was to stop bothering me. And they stopped, and it worked,” he said in the video. He was referring to his recently published outburst against the wave of hate he has suffered.

The artist emphasized that the public’s positive response was the best birthday present for him. “I’m here to thank you for all the positive and beautiful messages I’ve received from people I know, fans, followers, and people I’ve never met in my life. Today is my birthday, so I’m here to thank you for the gifts you gave me this weekend. What you all did was so amazing and I’m so grateful for that,” he declared.

Anderson, who was participating in Ronnie Fong’s program “Companhia Certa”, became emotional when talking about her marriage to Paulinho.
“In my generation, we had absolutely no right to assume anything. We spent 21 years together. He is a safe haven for me, which keeps me alive and gives me encouragement,” he said.
After an interview about his partner, the actor started coming under fire and had to take to social media to refute the bigoted comments.
“It’s sad to see such mediocre reactions and vulgar language about me,” he wrote, asking anyone who doesn’t like him to simply unfollow him.
