The battle for leadership is intensifying. Real Madrid drew in Vallecas and Barcelona won in Vigo, leaving the Blaugranas with only three points in the table after the first 12 matches.
Barça recovered some of it. … The disadvantage remained classic with the victory over Balaidos and Celta (2-4), in which Robert Lewandowski scored a hat-trick, but after 10 wins and 1 loss against Atlético, Real Madrid added their first draw of the season (0-0) against Rayo.
Villarreal showed no signs of slowing down and solidified their third place with 26 points after their win against Espanyol in Cornellá. Atlético also achieved an important win at home against Levante, including Griezmann’s double, and are closing in on the champions with 25 points.
Below, Valencia and Mallorca move out of the relegation zone and take a breather before the national team break. Los Che drew with Betis at home (1-1), making it seven games without a win. Vermillions defeated Getafe at Son Moi thanks to Muriqui’s goal.
Currently, three teams are in the relegation zone: Girona, Levante and Oviedo.
