The match at Maracana got off to a very lively start with good chances for both sides. Flamengo, playing in front of their fans, took confrontational actions and put Blazan’s goal at risk. However, Santos also had a chance to score in the opening 45 minutes.
Flamengo took the lead in the 36th minute at the Maracanã. Arrascaeta got a corner kick inside the area and Peixe’s defense tried to take it, but the ball was cleared by Leo Pereira. The Rubro Negro defender puts the ball into the back of the goal with his left foot: 1 x 0.
The home team also fought back in the second half, constantly looking for a second goal. And then he came. Alaskaeta made a beautiful throw from midfield to the right side of the attacking system. Carrascal, who received this from behind Allan, entered the area and smashed into the opponent’s goal, but gave Gabriel Blazan no chance.
Flamengo had the chance to score their third goal after a penalty was awarded in favor of Rubro Negro. However, in the end Alaskaeta finished above the post. In the 35th minute, Rubro Negro found the back of the net for the third time. After a defensive failure by Santos, Bruno Henrique collected the ball on the edge of the area and dribbled past the opposition goalkeeper and into the back of the net.
Santos tried to fight back in the final minutes of the match. Bontempo put a cross into the area and Robinho Junior fired in a superb shot that hit the crossbar. The ball landed at the feet of Gabriel Bontempo, who slotted it into the goal. Peixe then scored the second goal. Robinho kicks, but Rossi misses. Rolheiser played in the middle for the rest of the match, with Lautaro scoring the second goal for the visiting team.

Flamengo will play again on Saturday (11/15). In the postponed match of the 12th round of the Brasileirão, Rubro Negro visited Sport at the Arena Pernambuco at 6:30 p.m. On the same day, Santos will host Palmeiras at Vila Belmiro from 9pm, in a match that was also postponed. However, Classic is valid until the 13th round.
