Neymar receives a yellow card for a complaint, but remembers that he is Santos captain and is given the right to speak to the referee
Santos striker Neymar made no secret of his dissatisfaction and heavily criticized refereeing Savio Pereira de Sampaio, who is from the Federal District. Peixe’s number 10 received a yellow card this Sunday (9th) after complaining about the play that gave Flamengo the lead with Leo Pereira’s goal in the Brasileirão matchday 33 duel at the Maracanã.
“The referee is very bad. He’s bad and he’s arrogant – that’s the word. They say only the captain can talk to the referee. Every time I try to talk to him (while showing his armband), he turns his back. When I talked to the referee, he threatened me. He said if I kept talking he would give me a yellow card. How can I not talk to the referee?” It was a foul on Blazan in a move that led to an opponent’s corner goal. Arbitration in Brazil needs to be reviewed. “The arrogance of the referee, whose name I don’t even know, is impressive,” Neymar complained.
Neymar’s interviews took place at half-time and in the premiere. In fact, he gave his version of Santos’ performance in the first half of the duel at Maracanã.
“It was a great first half. Santos needs to be more calm and give me the ball more. I knew that Flamengo are the best team in the country. They have quality and playing against a packed Maracanã is always complicated. It’s not easy, but the team played well. The first half was good and we had chances to score,” Neymar added.
