This Sunday (9/11), in a valid match of the 33rd round of the Brazilian Championship, Flamengo defeated Santos 3×2. Goals for Lebro-Negro were scored by Leo Pereira, Carrascal and Bruno Henrique. Bontempo and Lautaro did that for Peixe. Filipe Luis commented on the goal conceded in the press conference.
“I hate conceding goals. As you know me well, I value the defensive side of the team. I strongly believe that defense is the main weapon to win championships. It took us a lot to get here with so few goals conceded. This fear, if you will call it that, could be a lesson for us,” said Filipe Luis.
After leading 3×0 on the scoreboard, Flamengo conceded two goals from Santos at lights out, putting pressure on Lebro-Negro and forcing him to slow down until the final whistle.
“Be it in the Brazilian Championship or in world football, if you let your guard down even a little, you will pay a big price. I have already told them. I’m not worried because it’s a different case. But, for sure, it hurts for me. I don’t want that to happen,” Filipe Luis concluded.
Flamengo will play again on Saturday (11/15). In a delayed match in the 12th round of the Brasileirão, Lebro-Negro visited Sport at the Arena Pernambuco at 6:30 p.m.
