On Saturday night (8/11), an eaves collapse in Salvador’s Mata Escura district, killing three people and injuring eight others.
The Archdiocese of San Salvador da Bahia confirmed that among the victims was Father Carlos Augusto da Cruz Silva, 45, priest and Vicar of Charity of the Santos Cosme e Damián parish in Liberdade.
The other deceased was identified as 70-year-old Darcy Annunsiason. and Ana Maria dos Santos, 50 years old. Darcy was rescued, but did not survive. Ana Maria and Father Carlos Augusto died at the scene.
