Chapecoense will host América Mineiro on Monday night (10th) in round 36 of the Brazilian Championship Series B. The ball will roll at Arena Conda at 7pm (Brasilia time). For Chape, this showdown is extremely valuable.
A win over Coelho would put the team from Santa Catarina in second place with two rounds left in Series B. Chape currently finishes G-4 in 4th place with 58 points. They beat the USA and earned 61 points, lifting Athletico out of second place.
The team from Minas Gerais needs a win to stay out of the relegation zone and stay calm heading into the next round. They are currently in 14th place with 42 points. The first team outside of Z-4 is Ferroviaria with 40 points. Botafogo SP are in first place with 38 points.
In the final match, Chapecoense drew 1-1 with Remo at the Estadio Baenan in the state of Pará. The USA then tied with Novolizontino 2-2.
