The Golden Rose insignia was designed by Gonzalo Navarro It takes the entire Seville Baroque style as its main creative source. This is the laboratory where an iconographic program centered on Pope Francis’ distinction to the Macarena is exhibited. «The contours of the work are expressed by a series of moldings and straps in which acanthus, ribbons, different types of flowers and fruits are intertwined. The upper area contains a representation of a golden rose in a cartouche and is engraved with a triple tiara and key, alluding to the papal nature of this concession. A series of cartouches hang vertically, recording the Virgin’s prayer, the date of delivery of the golden rose, and the Pope’s personal coat of arms. On top of that, The Brotherhood will regain the original design of the tunic, which disappeared from Celestino Roldes in 1869.commonly known as the “Horn of Abundance”, the restoration was carried out by architect and designer Sergio Cornejo.
Finally, IAPH is preparing a report on the restoration of original color and velvet in the restoration of the Cisneros mantle. The work, created by Guillermo Carrasquilla in 1967, was already created in Charo Bernardino’s workshop and consists of an embroidery from José Caro’s Canopy of the Virgin Falls, dated 1942.
