As part of La Plata’s 143rd anniversary, the city announced a music week. The fair will be held from November 15th to 22nd in various spaces across the city with a diverse agenda of cultural and artistic activities.
For eight days, the people of La Plata can enjoy performances of tango, folklore, rock, bolero and other genres in emblematic venues such as the Cathedral, the Hippodrome, Islas Malvinas Square, Plaza Moreno, Pasahed dal do Rocha Municipal Arts Center, Meridiano V and Teatro Argentino Regional Arts Center.
The program includes a lyrical gala, a folklore club, an open-air symphonic concert, and a surprise festival, in addition to the participation of local celebrities and special guests.
Additionally, on November 19, the Commune will hold a central event celebrating the birthday of the Buenos Aires capital in Plaza Moreno, where performances by local and national and international artists will be held.
Meanwhile, on Saturday the 22nd, a total of 50 cultural centers in the capital Buenos Aires will exhibit art in different neighborhoods, and live shows will be held, bringing music and celebration to every corner of La Plata.
With this proposal, the city aims to promote culture, encounters and civic participation, and celebrate art and La Plata’s identity with diverse expression through music.
