La Plata — “I just want to be clear.” What happened in the Maradona trial has never happened in the history of the Argentine judiciary.. That was Judge (Julieta) Mackintuck’s responsibility.. he is a bad person, he lies, he cheats” declared Judge Maximiliano Savarino of San Isidro Courtroom 3 during a jury session for his colleagues with whom he shared the bench in the canceled trial.

The statement, submitted to the Magistrate’s Prosecution Office, was accompanied by an equally strong statement:Mackintuck fooled us. If he had had proper assistance, the case would have been concluded and a judgment rendered.. But she resorted to deception: she told us, “Don’t worry, they were filming me, it’s personal,” the witness stressed.

“Before the discussion, Mackintuck said he wanted to subrogate in court because he needed the money.Because my husband was robbed. He said he has a shipping company. He did it twice,” Savarino said.

After claiming that the judge misled the court to allow the documentary Divine Justice to be filmed, Savarino insisted: “She made a documentary with a friend, so I wrote a letter to the court and told them I could no longer continue to intervene.”

The witness stated that there was an empty seat in the courtroom and that the place was occupied by Macintuck for Maradona’s trial by order of the San Isidro court.

He indicated that there had been multiple discussions since Mr Mackintuck arrived (as his representative). “She wanted to go to the house where Maradona died. For documentaries. we told him no”.

Witnesses asserted various arguments many times before the trial began. There have been two previous issues surrounding the courtroom. Mackintuck shouted at Judge (Pablo Adrian) Rolon.from the Fifth Courtroom, despised and bullied him. “Then they created a summary about Roron.”

“Additionally, there were other issues before the March 11 trial. Mackintuck expressed opposition to changing the start of debate,” he said, citing the judge’s problematic behavior as the background.

“I stopped McIntuck because it created an inconsistency. You’re not going to have the first vote, you’re not going to get court direction, you’re not going to do any more subrogation.”he listed.

The jury was closely followed by the trial jury, assisted by Chief Justice Hilda Cogan and Clerk Ulises Jimenez.

Throughout testimony, the judge emphasized that the documentary was never authorized. “We had given orders to all our employees not to reveal anything. There were photographs, an autopsy was performed. There was also a sign at the debate that said ‘no photography’.”he said emphatically and vaguely.

Jurors asked witnesses to calm down at various points. Judge Cogan was also forced to ask for specific answers.

The judge said, “As the presiding judge of a court, I learned that a judge was engaging in such behavior. We immediately notified the Deputy Secretary of State for Public Affairs of the Supreme Court. We did not know that Mackintuck’s cameraman was recording. We only found out about it later.” “She was making parallel judgments.”

Mr. Savarino also stated at the hearing: Ms. Mackintuck even asked her colleagues to move forward with a vote on the verdict, which will be included in the documentary Divine Justice.
