In the first stage, Match between Hymnasia and Veles in the forestreferee Yael Falcon Pérez twice decided to suspend the match due to noise that occurred a few meters from the playing field and an object falling on the grass.
During the second stoppage, the referee said he was hit by a thrown object and almost suffered an injury. When they retrieved the item thrown from the stand, it turned out to be an emergency hammer.
A few minutes later, while the match was still in progress, Aplebido and Buenos Aires State Police personnel, with great effort, succeeded in arresting the Jimnasia fan who had thrown the hammer.
The arrested person, known as FS, lives in the city and was identified through the club’s camera system. Detainees were also in possession of smoke bombs.

The violent incident occurred in the 33rd minute of the first half, just after Marcelo Cello Torres’ goal put Lobo ahead. A hammer thrown from the local stands hit the grass and bounced off Falcon Perez’s face, causing anxiety among the heroes and the match being temporarily suspended.
Although the referee was not seriously injured, the incident once again exposed the lack of security inside Argentina’s stadiums.
The situation did not end there, as a lightning bomb also struck her assistant Mariana de Almeida, but fortunately she was not injured. In light of these events, the match had to be stopped for several minutes to ensure the sanity of everyone in attendance before continuing.
The detainees are currently participating in corresponding violation proceedings and may be subject to additional administrative sanctions, including a ban on entering the stadium.
Gimnasia overcame this unfortunate episode to achieve an important victory, ensuring their stay in the First Division and leaving them one step away from qualifying for the Clausura play-offs. However, the atmosphere within the organization remains tense. The team did not practice before the duel in protest of the salary debt maintained by the leadership.
